(METRAC) - The Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence Against Women and Children is a not-for-profit, community-based organization that works to prevent and end violence against diverse women, youth, and children. METRAC has three main program areas: Community Safety, Community Justice, and Community Outreach and Education. | (YWCA) - YWCA Toronto is our city’s trusted multi-service organization by, for and about women and girls. We focus on long-term solutions, helping women and girls achieve equality, economic sustainability and lives free from violence. Last year we were a turning point for more than 26,000 people across the GTA. Funds donated help support the more than 40 programs we offer in our four program areas: housing and support, girls’ and family programs, employment and skills development, and advocacy.

In addition to our community beneficiaries, a portion of all V-Day Campaign proceeds from each city are allocated to the V-Day 2010 Global Spotlight.
